About the role

We are looking for an experienced Android Team Lead to guide our mobile development team. You will balance hands-on engineering with team leadership: setting technical standards, running code reviews, mentoring developers, and coordinating delivery with product and design. This is a leadership role that still requires strong individual technical contribution.

Responsibilities

Lead Android app development from planning through to release
Set technical standards and oversee architecture decisions for the team
Review code, manage task allocation, and support junior and mid-level engineers
Collaborate with product managers and designers on feature planning and scope
Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability across the Android codebase
Identify and address technical debt in a structured, prioritized way

Requirements

5+ years of Android development experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or senior role
Strong knowledge of Kotlin and the Android SDK
Experience with Jetpack libraries, MVVM architecture, and modern Android tooling
Demonstrated ability to lead engineers and run a structured code review process
Ability to work cross-functionally with product and design stakeholders
